Fort Hancock
Fort Hancock protected New York Harbor until 1974. Now most of the buildings are abandoned.

Sandy Hook Lighthouse

The lighthouse is more than two hundred years old. Originally only 500 feet from the water now it is more than 1.5 miles away. It is available for free tours on summer weekends.
