Benefit concert in St. Luke Church in Montclair, January 22

Alison Bolshoi, soprano, Michael Fennelly, pianist, and Friends present How Does Your Garden Grow? a benefit concert for St. Luke's Assembly Hall handicapped access ramp and garden.

Alison and Michael will be performing with guest artists Michael O'Hearn, bass, and Sharla Nafziger, coloratura soprano - both world renowned, fabulous opera singers - who, with Alison, will perform arias, duets, a trio and songs. Music by Verdi, Wagner, Beethoven, Gershwin, Broadway and more will fill this magical evening.


The singers are donating their talents and all proceeds will go directly to the project.

Tickets purchased in advance from the Parish office are $20/adults, $15/seniors (children under 12 are free). For tickets purchased at the door, add $2. Any donation beyond ticket prices are welcomed and appreciated! For details contact the St Luke's Episcopal Church office at : 973-744-6220

Bari Koral Family Rock Band in SOPAC Review

We attended Bari Koral Family Rock Band concert in South Orange Performing Arts Center. The band consisted of Bari, who was singing and playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar player, base player and drummer. Bari sang songs from different albums about shoes, backpack, subway train and farm. She encouraged kids to clap and sing along.

Majority of the kids were between three and five and most enjoyed themselves. In the middle of the concert Bari invited kids to dance in front of the stage and youngsters were happy to oblige.

This is a nice way to introduce kids to live music, I would recommend her concert to everyone with a small kid.

Wiggles in Meadowlands

The Wiggles Wiggly Circus Live! is in Meadowlands this Tuesday at 2.30pm and 6.30pm. If you have a toddler you probably know Wiggles. I just checked and tickets are still available ($15-75).

Day out with Thomas

July 2,3,4,9,10 &11. We went last year and it was a lot of fun. But beware, there is no AC on the train.
