Whippany Railway Museum - Garden Railroad

First and second parts of the series from Whippany Railway Museum are here and here.

Garden G-Scale railroad is a lot of fun. During our visit there were two trains running with a lot of cars. There are several benches where you can seat and observe or you can walk along the most of the path with the train.

Whippany Railway Museum

IMG_5868

Whippany Railway Museum is located on the grounds of former Whippany Station of Morristown & Erie Railroad

The station was functional between 1905 and 1928. Museum itself is located in the former freight house with a lot of interesting structures and exibits on the grounds.

It is a great place to spend time on Sunday afternoon (the museum is open on Sundays from 12 to 4 pm). There are even a couple of picnic tables available.
